The British are Coming! |
|
These are my Pulp British for use in exotic locales - for instance Mesopotamia, Transjordan, Iraq, East Africa, NW Frontier, Afghanistan, Waziristan and Tibet. They are also great for fighting Nazi archaeologists hunting for the Ark of the Covenant, though I haven't decided if they should be helping Indy, or if they should be seeking the Ark themselves for the greater glory of the Empire! The figures are from Copplestone and are on the large side measuring in at 31mm heel to eye (36mm to top of helmet), making them close to 1/48 scale. Unfortunately, Copplestone's Rolls Royce Armoured Car measures in at only 1/64, so the figures are too big for the car (scroll down for a pic). However, Copplestone pilot figs are perfect for 1/48 aircraft (scroll down for a pic). The aircraft is a between the wars Bristol Bulldog from Lindberg Line (discontinued). It was the only kit I could find that resembled a Westland Wapiti - a twin-seater bomber used by the Brits on the NW Frontier.
