These excellent figures are from Darkson Designs' AE WW2 range.  Although they are meant to be "alternate history" figures, these US Airborne could also be used as historicals. 

The figures are 28mm and mix well with Artizan and Bolt Action Miniatures.  They are very well sculpted with realistic proportions and a high level of detail that I have not yet seen in existing WW2 ranges.  These are multipart figures with separate heads and arms, which allow you to customise your troops with different head and weapon options.  The downside with this is that you have to spend a bit of time putting the figures together before you can paint them.  But as you can see, the effort is well worth it!
