ARTIZAN BRITISH COMMANDOS |
|
Here's Lord Lovat and his Commandos coming to relieve Major John Howard and his Ox & Bucks Light Infantry at Pegasus Bridge! The figures are Artizan 28mm and are from their British late war commando range.
Here's a general paint guide and a step-by-step "how to" guide below: First, block in all the main colours - English uniform, black green berets, GW tanned flesh. Next, mix in some black with the English uniform and use this darkened colour in the uniform creases, folds and outline pockets, epaulettes and so on. Then, mix in some white with the English uniform and highlight the raised parts of the uniforms, epaulettes, pockets and collars. This will give the figure's uniform a nice 3-dimensional look. For the face, highlight the forehead, cheeks, nose and chin with GW Dwarf Flesh. Next, use GW Dark Flesh in the eye-sockets, mouth and wrinkles. Paint in the whites of the eyes, and dot in the eyeballs. Next, paint the webbing, ammo pouches, backpacks and leggings Vallejo Khaki, and the rifle GW Bestial Brown. Mix in some white with the Bestial Brown and paint in the wood grain in straight streaks. Finally, do all the metal parts and varnish it.
